Villa Jones

Within one hour of Nice and Toulon Airports, Villa Jones is set in the hills above the village of Bargemon in the Haut Var. The surrounding landscape of olive groves and woodland has spectacular views south towards the Mediterranean and north to the Col du Bel Homme. Excursions to the coast, the Gorges du Verdon, lakes, Thoronet Abbey, and Aix are all within an hour’s drive. 

The villa was designed and built by Edward & Margot Jones in 2002 as a holiday house for their family. South facing, it is long in plan, and narrow in section, giving all rooms the benefit of the view and generous cross ventilation. With its thick walls the interiors are cool in summer and warm in winter – however there are no rentals from November to April as the lemon trees are brought inside and fill the dining room. Arrivals & departures are normally on Saturday.

Living areas inside and out are spacious: large dining, living, kitchen and double height loggia (with BBQ), 60 metre long pergola, and a 14.5 metre salt system pool. The pool is heated with a heat pump and has a cold shower at the far end. Pets are welcome. The villa offers total privacy.
